Mission

IEEE stands for The Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers. The mission of the IEEE is to foster technological innovation and excellence for the benefit of humanity. With 400,000 members, IEEE is the world’s largest professional technical organization. As a student branch of the IEEE, our mission is to prepare students for careers in technology. To further this mission, we do a variety of events and projects, including tech talks, corporate recruiting, socials, service projects, and technical workshops.

What We Do

Corporate Meetings

Presentations. Luncheons. Panels. We do our best to provide a variety of event formats to keep our members constantly engaged, with both industry professionals and members.

TECHNICAL WORKSHOPS

Taking a break from pure business, we like to provide our members with opportunities to work with their hands. From soldering to programming micro-controllers, we host a variety of sessions to give members a taste of the technical.

PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT WORKSHOPS

Just as we expect our members to be technically savvy, we want to prepare them professionally. Resume reviews, head-shot sessions, and interview practices are some of the ways we accomplish that.

ANNUAL CAREER FAIR

We’ve invited some of the largest names in industry to campus for an IEEE TAMU-exclusive career fair. The representatives in attendance look forward to speaking with IEEE members in particular.

…and much more.
